Fundraising Tips

Some Simple Ways to Fundraise!

The Power of 10: Ask 10 friends to donate 10 dollars each to reach a fundraising milestone of $100!

Birthday/Anniversary/Retirement Parties: In lieu of a gift, ask your friends and family to make a donation to the Love Run.

Lemonade Stand/ Bake Sale: Make some goodies that you can sell at a garage sale, church event or block party.

Casual for a Cause Friday: Ask your HR department if you can have a Casual for a Cause Friday were employees to donate in order to dress down on a pre selected Friday.

Car wash: Wash your neighbors and friends cars for a donation.

Ask your yoga instructor, personal trainer, ceramics teacher for a donated class: Invite your friends to attend a special class and charge $20 admission. The admission fee becomes a donation, and the trainer/teacher gets the chance to build their client base. It’s a win-win for all.

For the Birds: Deliver a group of fake pink flamingos to a donor’s yard and leave a note explaining the cause and asking for a donation to “replant” the flamingos in the yard of the next “victim” the first donor designates.

Matching gifts: Ask your company to match what you raise. Some companies have a matching gift policy already in place.

Make it at Home: Skip the coffee shops and restaurants for a month and donate the savings.

Social Media Call: Let potential donors know about your fundraising need through Facebook and Twitter
